The Micro Laser Peel is the latest treatment in skin rejuvenation. By using a Sciton laser, which provides short-pulsed lasers to ablate the outer layers of the skin, these peels can provide excellent results. Treatment can be delivered anywhere from 10-50 microns depending on the strength needed for patients’ unique skin tone and type. The setting of 10 microns is the equivalent of approximately four to six microdermabrasion treatments. The depth of the peel will also determine the optimum number of treatments, though most patients benefit from anywhere between one to four sessions.
After the Seriously Skin Cosmetic and Laser Medicine Micro Laser Peel, patients experience several days of redness and peeling. It is similar to a severe sunburn, and can last approximately four days. Many patients have their treatments done at the end of the week to allow healing over the weekend and avoid taking several days off work for recovery.
